What is Amplify Planner?

Founded by Chelsea Brown and made in Denver, Colorado, Amplify Planner is a paper planning system designed to help people set meaningful goals, organize their time, and reduce overwhelm using a quarterly goal-setting approach.

Unlike traditional planners that rely on year-long motivation, Amplify focuses on 90-day planning cycles that make goals easier to manage and adjust. Each planner includes structured quarterly goal-setting pages along with monthly and weekly planning layouts.

Amplify offers two formats:

- Daily Planner: 3-month planner with monthly, weekly, and daily pages

- Weekly Planner :  12-month planner with monthly and weekly layouts

Both formats are built around quarterly resets, allowing users to refocus every three months and maintain steady progress throughout the year.

What makes Amplify Planner different from other planners?

Amplify Planner is built around quarterly goal execution instead of traditional yearly goal planning.

Many planners focus on setting goals once at the beginning of the year and hoping motivation lasts. Amplify takes a different approach by breaking goals into focused 90-day cycles with built-in reset points.

Key differences include:

- Structured quarterly goal-setting pages

- Flexible layouts that work with real life

- Both Daily and Weekly planner formats

- A system designed to reduce overwhelm rather than increase pressure

- Made in the USA in small production runs

Amplify Planner focuses on helping people follow through on what matters most, one quarter at a time.

Is Amplify Planner a productivity planner or a wellness planner?

Amplify Planner combines productivity planning with mindful goal setting to support both progress and wellbeing.

It includes structured planning tools such as goal-setting pages, monthly calendars, and weekly or daily layouts to help organize tasks and priorities. At the same time, the quarterly planning system encourages realistic goal setting, reflection, and regular resets.

The goal isn’t just to get more done, it’s to create clarity and sustainable momentum.

Who is Amplify Planner designed for?

Amplify Planner is designed for people who want structure without rigid productivity systems.

It works especially well for:

- Professionals balancing work and personal responsibilities

- Entrepreneurs managing multiple priorities

- People who feel overwhelmed by traditional planners

-Anyone who wants a flexible system for organizing goals and tasks

The quarterly planning approach helps break big goals into manageable timeframes so progress feels achievable instead of overwhelming.

Is Amplify Planner a small business?

Yes. Amplify Planner is an independently owned small business based in the United States.

Amplify Planner was founded by Chelsea Brown, who wanted a more flexible, realistic way to organize goals and responsibilities than the rigid yearly planners on the market.  Amplify Planners are designed, developed, and produced in smaller production runs rather than mass-manufactured at large scale.

Supporting Amplify Planner helps support independent design and U.S. manufacturing.

Where are Amplify Planners made?

Amplify Planners are made in the United States.

The planners are produced in Denver, Colorado using high-quality materials and printed on bright white paper designed for smooth writing.

Manufacturing in the U.S. allows Amplify to maintain high production standards and support local printing and binding partners.

How is Amplify Planner different from Hobonichi?

Amplify Planner and Hobonichi are both paper planners but built around different planning philosophies.

Hobonichi is a Japanese-designed daily planner with one page per day, dated annually, and printed on thin Tomoe River paper. It's known for its compact size and dense daily layout.

Amplify Planner is built around quarterly goal execution rather than full-year planning. It uses 90-day cycles with structured goal-setting pages, is made in Denver, Colorado, and offers both Daily and Weekly formats with quarterly reset points built in.

The right choice depends on whether you want a year-long dated companion (Hobonichi) or a flexible quarterly system focused on goal follow-through (Amplify).

How is Amplify Planner different from Erin Condren?

Erin Condren and Amplify Planner serve different planning styles.

Erin Condren LifePlanners are dated yearly planners known for heavy upfront customization, removable laminated covers, colorful designs, and weekly or daily layout options.

Amplify Planner focuses on quarterly goal execution rather than year-long planning. Each Amplify Planner is built around 90-day cycles, with structured quarterly goal-setting pages, monthly calendars, and weekly or daily layouts. The system is designed for people who prefer a quieter, more goal-focused planning approach rather than highly decorative customization.

Both are quality paper planners. The choice depends on whether you want maximum design customization (Erin Condren) or a structured quarterly goal system (Amplify).

How is Amplify Planner different from Day Designer?

Day Designer and Amplify Planner are both productivity-focused planners but differ in structure.

Day Designer is known for hourly time-blocked daily layouts and a hardback annual format. It's designed for people who plan their day hour by hour.

Amplify Planner is built around quarterly goal cycles instead of hourly time blocking. The Daily Planner includes a full page per day with space for tasks, priorities, and notes, but isn't structured around rigid hourly slots. Each planner is built for quarterly goal execution with reset points every 90 days.

The right choice depends on whether you want strict hourly time-blocking (Day Designer) or a flexible quarterly goal system with space for daily planning your own way (Amplify).

What is quarterly goal setting?

Quarterly goal setting is a planning method that focuses on achieving goals in 90-day cycles instead of trying to plan an entire year at once.

Rather than setting dozens of goals for the year and hoping motivation lasts, quarterly planning narrows your focus to a few priorities for the next three months. This shorter timeframe makes goals feel more manageable and easier to follow through on.

Amplify Planner uses quarterly goal-setting pages to help break larger goals into realistic steps, with space to reflect and reset every three months.

Is quarterly goal setting better than yearly goal setting?

Quarterly goal setting often leads to better follow-through because the timeline is shorter and easier to manage.

Yearly goals are helpful for defining long-term direction, but twelve months is a long time to stay focused without adjusting your plan. Quarterly planning creates natural checkpoints that allow you to review progress and make changes along the way.

At Amplify, we encourage thinking about the year as a vision, and the quarter as the execution window. This balance helps maintain momentum without the pressure of trying to predict an entire year in advance.

Why do yearly goals often fail?

Yearly goals often fail because they rely on long-term motivation without enough opportunities to reset or adjust.

At the beginning of the year, it’s easy to feel motivated and set ambitious goals. But over time priorities shift, unexpected challenges appear, and the original plan may no longer fit your life.

Without smaller checkpoints, people often feel like they’ve “fallen behind” and stop tracking their goals entirely. Quarterly planning solves this by creating regular moments to reassess, refocus, and move forward with a clearer plan.

How does quarterly planning reduce overwhelm?

Quarterly planning reduces overwhelm by narrowing your focus to what matters right now instead of everything you want to accomplish this year.

When too many goals compete for attention, it becomes difficult to prioritize or make progress. A 90-day planning window encourages you to choose a small number of meaningful goals and dedicate your time and energy to them.

This approach creates clarity, makes progress easier to measure, and helps prevent burnout from trying to do everything at once.

Can I set yearly goals and still use Amplify Planner?

Yes. Many people set yearly goals for direction and use quarterly planning to break those goals into actionable steps.

A yearly vision provides the bigger picture of what you want to achieve, while quarterly planning focuses on what progress looks like in the next 90 days.

Amplify Planner supports this approach by providing quarterly goal-setting pages that help translate long-term goals into manageable priorities for each quarter.

How often should I reset my goals?

Most people review and reset their goals every three months when starting a new quarter.

Quarterly resets create a natural rhythm for reflecting on what worked, adjusting what didn’t, and deciding what deserves focus next.

Instead of abandoning goals when life changes, the quarterly reset gives you permission to refine your plan and move forward with greater clarit

What is a 90-day planning system?

A 90-day planning system is a goal-setting approach that focuses on achieving progress in three-month cycles instead of trying to plan an entire year at once.

Rather than setting long lists of yearly goals, a 90-day system encourages you to choose a small number of meaningful priorities and focus on them for the next quarter. This shorter timeframe makes it easier to stay motivated, measure progress, and adjust your plan when life changes.

Many people find that 90 days is the ideal balance, long enough to make meaningful progress, but short enough to stay focused and adaptable.

Amplify Planner is designed around this rhythm, with quarterly goal-setting pages that help translate bigger goals into realistic actions for the next 90 days.

What types of planners does Amplify offer?

Amplify Planner offers two main formats: a Daily Planner and a Weekly Planner.

Both planners follow the same quarterly goal-setting system but offer different levels of detail depending on how you prefer to organize your time.

Daily Planner – a 3-month planner with monthly, weekly, and full daily pages

Weekly Planner – a 12-month planner with monthly and weekly layouts (no daily pages)

Both formats include quarterly goal-setting pages to help you focus on meaningful progress every three months.

What is included in the Daily Planner?

The Amplify Daily Planner is a 3-month planner that includes quarterly goal setting, monthly calendars, weekly layouts, and full daily planning pages.

Each Daily Planner includes:

Quarterly goal-setting pages at the beginning

Monthly calendar spreads

Weekly planning layouts

One full page per day for detailed planning

Quarterly reflection and reset pages at the end

The Daily Planner is ideal for people who prefer writing out detailed task lists or organizing their day step by step.

What is included in the Weekly Planner?

The Amplify Weekly Planner is a 12-month planner with monthly calendars and weekly layouts.

Each Weekly Planner includes:

Quarterly goal-setting pages at the start of each quarter

Monthly calendar spreads

Weekly planning layouts with space for priorities and notes

Quarterly reflection pages

Extra notes pages

The Weekly Planner is ideal for people who prefer planning at the week level instead of writing out every day.

Should I choose the Daily Planner or the Weekly Planner?

Choose the Daily Planner if you prefer detailed daily planning. Choose the Weekly Planner if you prefer a simple overview of your week.

The Daily Planner is best if you:

- Manage detailed to-do lists

- Like planning each day step by step

- Need space for notes and task tracking

The Weekly Planner is best if you:

- Prefer a streamlined layout

- Want a clear weekly overview

- Don’t need a full page for each day

Both planners support quarterly goal setting, so the decision mostly comes down to how much daily structure you prefer.

How long does each planner last?

The Amplify Daily Planner lasts three months, while the Weekly Planner lasts twelve months.

The Daily Planner is intentionally designed to cover one quarter so you can focus on a 90-day goal cycle. The Weekly Planner covers a full year while still including quarterly goal-setting pages throughout the planner.

Both formats follow the same quarterly planning rhythm.

Does the Weekly Planner include daily pages?

No. The Weekly Planner includes monthly and weekly layouts but does not include daily pages.

This format is designed for people who prefer planning at the week level rather than writing out detailed daily schedules.

Does the Daily Planner include weekly pages?
Yes. The Daily Planner includes both weekly layouts and daily planning pages.

The weekly pages help you see your priorities for the week, while the daily pages provide space for more detailed task planning.

Can I use the planner if my schedule changes often?

Yes. Amplify Planner is designed to be flexible enough to adapt to changing schedules.

The quarterly planning system helps you focus on priorities for the next three months while the daily or weekly layouts allow you to adjust plans as needed.

The goal isn’t rigid scheduling, it’s creating clarity for what matters most right now.

Can I use the planner if I don’t plan every day?

Yes. Amplify Planner does not require perfect daily consistency to be useful.

Life gets busy, and it’s normal to skip days or adjust your planning routine. The quarterly reset system makes it easy to re-engage with your planner without feeling like you’ve fallen behind.

Planning is meant to support your life, not add pressure to it.

Why choose a paper planner instead of digital tools?

Paper planners create a focused, distraction-free space for planning and decision-making.

Digital tools are excellent for storing information, managing calendars, and collaborating with others. But many people find that planning on paper helps them slow down, think more clearly, and stay focused without constant notifications or screen distractions.

Paper planning can also feel more intentional and calming because it creates space to process priorities instead of constantly reacting to them.

Amplify Planner is designed to combine structure and flexibility so planning feels supportive rather than overwhelming.

Does handwriting improve focus and memory?

Research suggests that handwriting can improve memory retention, focus, and information processing.

Writing things down by hand encourages the brain to process information more actively compared to typing. Many people find that physically writing tasks, goals, or schedules helps them remember important information more clearly.

Handwriting can also create a stronger sense of connection to your goals because it slows the planning process down enough to think intentionally about what actually matters.

Can Amplify Planner replace Google Calendar?
Amplify Planner works best alongside digital tools rather than completely replacing them.

Many people use digital calendars for appointments, reminders, and shared scheduling while using a paper planner for:

- Goal setting

- Prioritization

- Weekly planning

- Reflection and focus

Digital tools help manage information. Paper planning helps organize attention and intention.

Amplify Planner is designed to support the thinking side of planning, not just the scheduling side.

Is paper planning better than digital planning?

Paper planning and digital planning serve different purposes, and many people use both together.

Digital tools are fast, convenient, and useful for shared calendars or reminders. Paper planning offers a more focused and intentional planning experience that many people find easier to stick with long term.

People often prefer paper planning because it:

- Reduces screen fatigue

- Minimizes distractions

- Encourages intentional thinking

- Feels more personal and grounding

The best planning system is the one that helps you stay clear, focused, and consistent.

Why do people return to paper planning?

Many people return to paper planning because digital tools can start to feel overwhelming, distracting, or disconnected from daily life.

Planning on paper creates a physical space to slow down, organize thoughts, and focus on priorities without switching between apps, tabs, or notifications.

People are often drawn back to paper planning because it feels:

- More calming

- Easier to focus on

- More intentional

- Less mentally cluttered

For many, paper planning becomes less about productivity and more about creating clarity and protecting mental space.

Is Amplify Planner good for overwhelmed professionals?

Yes. Amplify Planner is designed to help overwhelmed people create clarity without relying on rigid productivity systems.

Many traditional planners try to maximize productivity by encouraging people to do more. Amplify takes a different approach by helping users focus on fewer, more meaningful priorities at a time.

The quarterly planning system helps break goals into manageable 90-day cycles, making it easier to organize responsibilities without feeling buried by long-term pressure.

The goal isn’t perfection — it’s creating a planning system that supports real life.

Is Amplify Planner good for ADHD planning styles?

Amplify Planner is built for ADHD-friendly planning. Its quarterly reset system makes it easy to restart without feeling like the entire year is off track.

Many people with ADHD struggle with planning systems that feel overly rigid, overwhelming, or difficult to restart after falling out of routine. Amplify’s quarterly reset system creates regular opportunities to refocus without feeling like the entire year is off track.

Features that many people find helpful include:

- Breaking goals into shorter 90-day cycles

- Flexible daily and weekly planning layouts

- Clear visual organization

- Space to adjust plans as priorities change

Every person’s planning style is different, but Amplify is intentionally designed to adapt to real-life routines rather than demand perfection.

What if I’ve failed at using planners before?

Many people who struggle with planners don’t need more discipline, they need a planning system that feels realistic and sustainable.

Traditional planners often rely on perfect consistency, overly ambitious goal setting, or rigid routines that become difficult to maintain over time.

Amplify Planner is designed differently. The quarterly planning system encourages regular resets so missed days or changing priorities don’t feel like failure.

Planning should feel supportive, not stressful.

Does Amplify Planner require daily consistency?

No. Amplify Planner is designed to support progress, not perfection.

It’s normal to skip days, change routines, or go through busy seasons where planning looks different. The quarterly planning system makes it easy to reset and re-engage without feeling like you’ve “ruined” your planner.

The goal is to create clarity and direction, not maintain a perfect streak.

Can I customize how I use my planner?

Yes. Amplify Planner is intentionally designed to be flexible and adaptable to different planning styles.

Some people use their planner for detailed scheduling, while others focus more on goal tracking, weekly priorities, journaling, or habit building.

The layouts are structured enough to provide guidance while still leaving room to make the system your own.

Planning should support your life, not force you into a single method.

What are the Freedom Boxes for?

Freedom Boxes are open spaces within the planner that can be used in whatever way best supports your planning style.

Some people use them for:

- Meal planning

- Habit tracking

- Notes and reminders

- Gratitude lists

- Priorities or brain dumps

- Personal or work tasks

They’re intentionally flexible so the planner can adapt to different routines, goals, and lifestyles.

What are the specifications for the planner?

Amplify Planners are designed with durable materials, spacious layouts, and a flexible planning system built around quarterly goal setting.

Planner specifications vary slightly by format, but both the Daily and Weekly Planners include:

- Quarterly goal-setting pages

- Monthly calendar layouts

- Durable metal spiral binding

- Thick bright white paper designed for smooth writing

- Laminated covers for added durability

- Tabbed monthly sections

- Extra notes pages for flexibility and customization

The Daily Planner includes monthly, weekly, and daily pages, while the Weekly Planner includes monthly and weekly layouts.

What size is the planner?

Amplify Planners measure 8 x 10 inches.

The larger layout provides plenty of writing space for planning, goal setting, notes, and daily scheduling while still being practical for desks, bags, and workspaces.

What type of binding does it use?

Amplify Planners use a durable metal spiral binding.

The spiral binding allows the planner to lay flat for easier writing and everyday use while providing long-term durability throughout the year or quarter.

Does Amplify Planner come in different languages?

Currently, Amplify Planners are only available in English.

At this time, all planner layouts, prompts, and goal-setting pages are designed in English.

Can you choose a Monday or Sunday start day?

Amplify Planners use a Sunday-start monthly calendar and a Monday-start weekly layout.

This combination is designed to balance traditional monthly calendar formatting with a more structured weekly planning flow.

At this time, alternate start-day versions are not available.

Will the planner cover color look different in person than it does on my screen?

Slight color variation may occur depending on your screen settings and device display.

We do our best to photograph planner covers as accurately as possible, but colors can appear slightly different across phones, tablets, and computer monitors due to brightness and display calibration.

Natural lighting and screen settings can both affect how colors appear online.

Can I customize or personalize the planner?

Amplify Planners are not fully customizable, but they are intentionally designed to be flexible for different planning styles.

The layouts provide structure while still leaving room to adapt the planner to your needs. Many people personalize their planners using stickers, color coding, inserts, bookmarks, or different planning routines.

At this time, custom names, fully personalized layouts, or made-to-order planner configurations are not available.

Do you offer free inserts for the planner?

Yes. Amplify Planner offers select free printable inserts and planning tools throughout the year.

These may include:

- Goal-setting worksheets

- Special event or holiday printables

Many customers enjoy using:

- Zebra Mildliners

- Pilot G2 pens

- Paper Mate InkJoy pens

- Sharpie S-Gel pens
